    Conor?

Don't you listen to me? WHY don't you listen to me. I can't help you if you don't listen to me. I certainly can't help you if you don't post anything for the IOR. If you're worrying about posting work that you feel isn't 'good' enough - grow up, fella! Seriously - how do you expect to grow, prosper and suceed if you don't engage in the critical process - it's what university is all about! Get stuff on this blog IMMEDIATELY or you and I are going to fall out. I'm serious. I want you to have a productive and successful crit in 3 weeks time. Don't blow it.

And for what it's worth - see below:

Here is a list of links back to the CGAA Group Blog, where I have recently uploaded loads of information regarding the way I want students to tackle their written assignments. As you now prepare your unit 2 assignments on production design, pay close attention to the advice given. I will be looking for clear improvement in terms of use of language, academic ‘voice’, use of conventions, argument structure and correct methods of referencing.

Also – be sure to check out the 2 student essays uploaded to myUCA/Space/Unit Materials – good examples of degree level written assignments. Take the time to read them.

  3. Hey Conor - can you email me at pgomm@ucreative.ac.uk - I'd like to hear how you're getting on - or not. I need to be very clear with you - your 'creative development blog' is formally assessed and is an integral part of this course and its feedback culture. I can't keep telling you what I want and how I want it - but if you intend to succeed on this course - if you intend to get the very best out of me, your classmates, and your projects, you need to update your blog in accordance to the brief - and your tutor's wishes. I've taken the time to speak with you personally, and I've tried to reassure you. Email me. You need to reassure me that you're on track.
